The EFRA project announces the release of the Mycotoxin Concentration Dashboard, a new decision‑support tool developed under Use Case #4: Mycotoxins in Animal Feed and Effects on Animal Production. This tool strengthens the ability of feed producers, quality managers, and food‑safety professionals to monitor mycotoxin contamination trends and make informed, data‑driven decisions that protect animal health and production efficiency.
Monitoring Mycotoxin Levels Through Laboratory Data
The Mycotoxin Concentration Dashboard is a monitoring tool that analyses laboratory testing results to track monthly concentration levels of key mycotoxins in animal feed, primarily poultry and ruminant feed. Through interactive time‑series visualisations, users can explore contamination trends, compare mycotoxin profiles, and identify emerging risks across different feed categories. This supports transparent, evidence‑based decision‑making and helps stakeholders detect elevated levels early enough to take preventive action.
Powered by the Mycotoxins Trend Prediction Model
The dashboard deploys the Mycotoxins Trend Prediction Model, a linear‑regression‑based AI model developed and validated by Agroknow.
It uses:
- Monthly concentration levels of key mycotoxins (e.g., aflatoxin, ochratoxin, zearalenone, DON)
- Laboratory testing results from the Food Fortress network
- Historical datasets covering poultry and ruminant feed
Development and Validation
The tool was developed and validated by:
- Agroknow – AI model development, validation, and dashboard deployment
- Food Fortress – provision of historical laboratory test results and domain expertise
Accessing the Dashboard
Access to this decision‑support tool is provided through the FOODAKAI platform. you can visit or request access to the Mycotoxin Concentration Dashboard
