Meet the faces of DataNexus Cluster
The Data Nexus cluster came together for the first time at the European Big Data Value Forum 2024 in Budapest! The EFRA team presented their groundbreaking work, with Dr. Xinxin Wang from Wageningen University sharing insights on pest predictions, and Temi Gkouthas from RAINNO discussing the project’s scope and results at the cluster booth.
Data Nexus unites seven pioneering projects tackling extreme data challenges from IoT, business, environmental, and societal sources. Together, they’re advancing Europe’s capacity for next-gen computing and data technologies.
The cluster is building a vibrant community to share knowledge, drive synergies, and address global data challenges.
Transforming Food Risk Predictions with AI and Data Analytics
EFRA is a 3-year research project, funded by the European Union. The team consists of 9 partners, coming from 7 different countries, including universities, research organizations and private companies. The EFRA’s main goal is to develop the first analytics-enabled, green data space for AI-powered food risk prevention. It explores how extreme data mining, aggregation and analytics may address major scientific, economic and societal challenges, associated with the safety and quality of the food we consume.
