EFRA at BEYOND 2025: Showcasing AI-Driven Innovation in Food Safety

From April 4–6, EFRA took part in BEYOND 2025, one of the most prominent exhibitions on digital technology and innovation in South-Eastern Europe. With this year’s focus on the real-world impact of Artificial Intelligence, the event provided an ideal setting to present EFRA’s vision for the future of food safety.

Rainno, the responsible partner in maximising EFRA’s impact, represented the project at BEYOND. Visitors had the opportunity to learn how EFRA applies advanced analytics, multilingual data mining, and green computing to support the shift from reactive to preventive approaches in food safety risk management.

During the exhibition, Rainno presented the EFRA Platform, composed of three key components:

  • The Data Hub for collecting multilingual and diverse food safety data;
  • The Analytics Powerhouse for training AI models to predict risks;
  • The Data and Analytics Marketplace, a tool for accessing and contributing datasets and models.

EFRA attracted strong interest from a wide range of stakeholders—policymakers, industry actors, researchers, and tech developers—who recognised the value of its approach in addressing the complexity of today’s food systems. Discussions focused on the platform’s potential to support early food risk detection, improve regulatory responses, and enable data-driven decisions in the agri-food sector.

Participation in BEYOND 2025 marked a significant milestone in EFRA’s dissemination efforts, expanding its visibility and fostering connections that will support future collaboration and impact.
