Our partner, MAIZE, has recently participated in the “On-Demand Solutions with AI, Data, and Robotics” event (Brussels, on February 18-19, 2025), an enriching event, with a strong focus on the concrete challenges faced by European organizations. It is clear that there is enormous potential for collaboration and technological development, but also room for improvement in competing with Asian and international players.

A key aspect for the future will be to better integrate project initiatives and increase the involvement of companies in funded projects, strengthening the connection between research and the market. By optimizing these aspects, the impact on the European economy could become even more significant and tangible. As a Horizon Europe project, EFRA is committed to bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world applications, ensuring that AI solutions contribute effectively to Europe’s technological growth.
From the discussions emerged as well, while Europe has a strong foundation, there is still room for greater integration of industry players in funded projects and a more structured approach to global competition. Strengthening these aspects will enhance the economic impact and market adoption of innovative solutions. What strategies can we adopt to enhance Europe’s competitiveness in AI and robotics? Let’s share ideas and build the future together!
